We use this data to make our website available to you. Without this, it is not possible to visit and use our website.

When you visit or use our website, our server automatically saves the following data to a log file:
• IP address
• Browser type/version
• Operating system used
• Date and time of the request
• Downloaded file(s) and transferred data volume
• Information whether download was successful
This data is used to ensure a smooth technical operation of our website. We use this data, in particular, to prevent, identify and eliminate errors and misuse of our website (e.g. hacker attacks). Your IP address will be erased by us after seven days.


4. Orders made on our website
4.1 Shopping cart
You can add products from our product range to an electronic shopping cart.
We use a cookie file so that your shopping cart can still be allocated to you when you navigate between the pages or when you visit our website again in the future after having left it. This is also a persistent cookie that will stay on your end device for up to 2 days after you have closed the browser. Without this cookie, you cannot use the shopping cart function of our website.

You need to register a user account to place orders.
When you register, we retrieve the following data:

• Company / university
• E-mail address
• Address
• Phone
• Your password
• Your VAT no. (not a mandatory field)
• E-mail accounting (not a mandatory field)
When you log into your user account, you need the e-mail address and the password you have entered during registry. We also use a cookie file so that you can stay logged on when you navigate between the pages or when you visit our website again in the future after having left it. This is also a persistent cookie that will stay on your end device for up to 2 days after you have closed the browser. Without this cookie, you cannot log into our customer area.


4.3 Processing orders
When you order products on our website, we may retrieve the following data:

• Company / department
• E-mail address
• Phone number
• Fax number
• Delivery and invoice address
• Details regarding the products you have ordered (included in your shopping cart)
• Payment information according to the payment method you choose (e.g. bank details, credit card data)

If you use our contact form, safety data sheet or product request form, we will retrieve the following data:

We inform you that the use of our contact form, safety data sheet or product request form is optional so that any details you enter are also optional. However, with the exception of your phone number, all other details are mandatory to use the contact form. We use your data to process and answer your request.


6. Data used by Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (Google) in the USA. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how you use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. On this website, IP anonymisation has been enabled so that the IP address of Google users within the Member States of the European Union or the contracting parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area will be shortened first.
Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to the server of Google in the US and truncated there.
