Useful for the analysis of LDL receptor function in patients with familial hypercholesterolemia in Immunoblotting.

The antibody to LDL-R reacts specifically with human LDL-R and is suitable for use in flow cytometry and Immunoblotting. Antibody does not seem to inhibit binding of LDL.

Polypeptide reacting: MLDP = myocardial lipid droplet protein (also described as OXPAT/PAT-1/Perilipin 5). MLDP pertains to the PAT-family proteins, covering the surface of cytoplasmic lipid droplets and sharing a homologuous domain called PAT. Additional PAT proteins (perilipins 1 - 5) including adipophilin (ADRP/perilipin 2), perilipin (perilipin 1), and TIP47 (perilipin 3) are expressed in differentiation-related stages of lipid metabolism.

The antiserum reacts specifically with perilipin 1 located at the surface of intracellular storage lipid droplets present e.g. in the adrenal gland, adipocytes of white and brown adipose tissue, Leydig cells.

The antibody reacts specifically with perilipin 1 located at the surface of intracellular storage lipid droplets present e.g. in the adrenal gland, sebaceous gland, adipocytes of white and brown adipose tissue and cultured cells such as 3T3-L1 adipocytes and cultured steroidogenic adrenal cortical and Leydig cells.

The antiserum reacts specifically with perilipin 1 located at the surface of intracellular storage lipid droplets present e.g. in the adrenal gland, adipocytes of white and brown adipose tissue, Leydig cells.

Prp19p is a member of the spliceosomal complex. In addition Prp19p protein was also found in the nuclei of cultured cells.

S3-12 pertains to the PAT-family proteins, covering the surface of cytoplasmic lipid droplets. S3-12 is positively detected in lipid droplets of cultured cells.

Cargo protein involved in the trafficking of the mannose-6-phosphate receptor between endosomes and the Golgi complex. Also localized in the milk fat globule membranes. Increased amounts are found in cervix carcinoma patients.
